Abstract: | This project is to investigate and embed a mechanism to the MP3 encoder, so that the watermark information can be added in a MP3 file. In addition, this mechanism can detect the watermark information in the MP3 decoder. To complete this project, source codes (C program) of the MP3 encoder and decoder are needed. Then, in the encoder, the quantized MDCT frequency samples in the iteration loop are selected out. Signal to noise ratio (SNR) are calculated using those frequency samples. By the comparisons of SNR and quantization bits in two consecutive MP3 frames. Watermark information is added to certain samples. This report contained the brief idea on this watermark adding method. In addition, the concepts behind this method are also discussed. Then, the sound qualities of MP3 files (with watermark) are analyzed. At last, the watermark security of this mechanism is discussed. |
