Abstract: | In this project, the aperture-coupled antennas with linearly polarization (LP) and circularly polarization (CP) are designed by using different shape of patches. In the LP antenna design, a parasitic patch excited by aperture-coupled is implemented to enhance the impedance bandwidth. The antenna Bandwidth of 51% is observed with different shapes of patches, including square ring and circle ring. In the CP antenna design, an ellipse ring is used. By changing the major and minor axis of ellipse ring, it can adjust the two orthogonal fields of the antenna, leading the antenna with return loss S11 < -10 dB and the axial ratio (AR) < 3dB at frequency 3.6GHz, so that the property of CP excitation can be achieved. |
