Intelligent web-based solutions for RoHS testing

Abstract

This project is helping a RoHS testing company to automate paper work dealing with order management. The consequence is the order received manually which makes many document works. To solve this problem, a web based system is designed, called Order Management System (OMS). This system involves the several parts: Customer record management; Order record management; Document generator; Document storage management; User logging. Also, this system involves several famous technologies such as PHP, Apache HTTP Server, and MySQL Database Management System (DBMS). Those are well-known open sources server platforms that make the system cost effective and stable performance. With the features above, this system can help the company to automate works in following ways: automate the ordering procedures; centralize the customers’ data; reduce the document work on making invoices and quotations.
