dc.description.abstract | My project, titled “Microprocessor Based Remote Control and Sensing”, is targeted to design a control network based on the packet radio system. Packet radio system involves breaking the digital stream into discrete “chunks” enabling them to be independently routed to the destination address through multiple paths. Each device in network can be controlled/ monitored by a Master control computer through the RF (Radio Frequency) communication media. In this system, one Master station and many remote Slave stations hierarchy is implemented. Users can send/receive a packet message in the Master station for controlling/monitoring various remote Slave stations, such as turn ON/OFF a device or check the current status of a device. “Multi-relay coding scheme” is employed in each remote Slave station. In this scheme, the information of each source is sent to its destination via a multi-relay route; with the multiple multi-relay routes operating concurrently even they are intersected with each other. Transmissions by multiple routes can enhance the network capability to achieve reliable communication. | en |
