Abstract: This project aims to develop web based ICAS system for EPA Centre. The web based system enables users to access and manage real time information at anytime and anywhere. Previous system is based on the client server architecture using Microsoft Visual Basic 6 and Microsoft SQL Server 2000. The drawback of this system is the application need to be separately installed on each user’s computer. If the program is changed, administrator has to upgrade all client machines. Therefore, it is inconvenient and decreases the productivity. In additional, the functionality of current system does not meet user’s additional requirements. The aims of the project are: 1. Building a new web based system for working process. 2. Reconstructing and simplifying the database system. 3. Improving the flow of the system 4. Raising the speed of system processing 5. Flexible for further extended 6. Enhancing the functionality of system The web based application allow user to maintain and manage the most updated, created and modified information of the company at anywhere. Through user friendly interface and simplified system design, user does not need to undergo massive training and technical supports can be minimized. Its one stop management integrates operation in working, including form, information, financial activities and reports.
