A new design of RFID passive antenna is proposed. It has a quasi-isotropic radiation pattern which makes it able to be detected in an arbitrary rotation of the tag. And it is operated best on 915MHz. The RFID tag has to be matched well to the microchip connected on it. As there are many manufacturers, the value of the impedance of microchips is varying much. The tag designed should have impedance which could change easily. It is accomplished by the double t-matching network of the antenna. In my project, the tag parameters have been investigated and two tag chips with casing have tried to be matched. Furthermore, there are often cases that the RFID tag need to place on the metallic surface such as equipments, products, etc. Thus, I have investigated the effect of adding a metallic plate at the back of the proposed tag antenna. And have compared the performance of the tag antenna with its original design.en
