Nowadays, the fastest growth of the digit entertainment is on the mobile devices. Many companies target this market and invest a lot of money to develop high quality games. As the mobile device’s hardware becomes more powerful, the direction of the game changed from 2D to 3D. However, this topic is very new to many mobile game developers. They feel that porting 3D games from PC to mobile platform is still having plenty of problems such as limited memory size and having no GPU support. Therefore, in this project, the mobile 3D game engine is being created to solve the problem by managing mobile device’s hardware resources. Moreover, it implements the cartoon rendering technique from the PC to Symbian OS by using OpenGL ES API. This can help the mobile game developers to know how far the current mobile devices can handle the virtual 3D world. Finally, it also provides a sample game, which will make use of the features provided by the 3D game engine, as the reference model to the mobile game developers.en
