Abstract: If PDA is lost, it is possible that files will be exposed by someone. Losing documents with marketable ideas on PDA can be a heart-breaking issue. Exposure of the great and creative idea can lose a big profit too. Human signature contains biometric information, which is useful to identify individual’s identity. Application of protecting document on PDA by human signature, however, is rare. In this project, an application for encrypting files by human signature on Pocket PC is developed so as to provide user with a natural and simple way to protect files. Stable and reliable features are used in file encryption. Features of human signature and its suitability will be studied in this report. Error correcting code applied in file decryption by signature will also be discussed.
