O is probably the oldest board game in the world. It is a very challenging and popular game in China and also the other countries. Like the other board games, many GO computer games with powerful artificial intelligence (AI) have been developed. However, due to the limiting memory and computing power of mobile devices, those AI algorithms may not be appropriated for making a GO game on mobile phones. Therefore, we would like to find out some efficient algorithms for GO game on Mobile Devices. In this project, we would first develop a GO game template using Symbian C++. Then, different existing AI algorithms for GO game would be studied and analysed. By considering the memory and computing power usage of each algorithm, some selected algorithms would be implemented into the GO game platform and find out the most suitable algorithms for this game in nowadays mobile devicesen
