The recent advancement of smart card technology demands the development of a globally compatible Card Operating System to support various vendor or developer products. As a result, a generalized common platform called the Global Platform Card Operating System has been developed by a consortium led by Visa capable of supporting various low-level operating systems and hardware. In this project, the aim is to implement this Global Platform Card Operating System using Java Card Operating System and to build up a web-based multiple application system using this implemented Global Platform COS (Card Operating System). The performance analysis of this system is also provided to evaluate the practical use of this proposed system architecture.en_US
